Below is a quick word from our
Service Officers
V.F.W Department of Washington.

“The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States has a solemn, unwavering mission to assist veterans and their dependents in obtaining the entitlements they justly deserve.

Today, thousands of you, our fellow Veterans are answering the call from every state and territory of this great nation.  They come from all walks of life and represent our best and our brightest.  They are patriotic to the core; they all recognize the special mission their country has entrusted to them.  Recognizing the sacrifices of those who wear our country’s uniforms the Federal government consequently has a moral obligation to ensure that veterans, particularly those returning wounded, receive full appreciation of a grateful country for their sacrifice.

Since the beginning of hostilities in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of the War on Terrorism, countless brave Americans have lost their lives and been wounded, and the numbers are climbing.  This is a prime example of where we, the Veterans of Foreign Wars network of service officers, must rise to the occasion.  Many, as we once did, are now seeking assistance in obtaining health care (including prosthetics), disability compensation, rehabilitation, and in some cases, proper memorial services.

As service officers, it is our responsibility to ease the anxiety and confusion of those who seek our assistance.  We do this by showing our diligence and compassion as we go about our profession of obtaining the benefits these heroes justly deserve.”
